Coronavirus has thrown the world into uncertainty and made virtual reality the new normal for everyone. The age of social distancing is here and whether you are taking a break from work, working from home or have just resumed office, your daily life and routine looks vastly different from what it did a few months ago. Spending all day at home in isolation is not conducive to mental health. And it is only natural to be stressed about going back to work and worrying about whether your workmates are healthy or not. Limit Your Intake of NewsLimit the time you spend reading or watching things which do not make you feel better or give you anxiety. You could decide on a specific time to check in with the news every day. Taking a break from social media or news websites will help manage anxiety and help you prioritise other things, such as going back to the book you had promised yourself you would finish or make a new recipe. There is also a lot of misinformation being spread around – stay informed by checking only verified sources such as government websites, WHO or reliable news websites. |

Get Some “Me” TimeTo avoid burnout, it is necessary to have some time off from work, chores and giving others your time. Every small act counts – be it squeezing in some meditation into your busy schedule, staying hydrated, eating well, playing with your pet or something as simple as sitting in your balcony with a cup of tea. The key is to strike a balance between having a routine and making sure each day has some variety. |

Ditch Your PJs When WFHWho does not want to spend all day on the couch, in their favourite cartoon-themed or silk pyjamas, snacking and binge-watching Suits? As appealing as this sounds, it is not always feasible to wear PJs throughout the day, especially when you are working remotely. Some days might just be packed with con calls with clients or team meetings. We understand how overwhelming things can get, now that the lines between office and home have blurred. Our recommendation? Ditch your PJs and get dressed like how you would (at least from above the waist), if you were going to work. Getting dressed up is not only a nice change but also uplifts your mood but is also and makes you feel better. Case in point: This Cotton Striped Shift Dress – Black and White. |
